Rap veteran Reks returns with the video for his song “Animal Kingdom.” A thought-provoking cut that dwells on the proverbial concrete jungle where different types of animals roam.

The Apollo Brown-produced jam has a solid bounce and somewhat cinematic texture that matches the theme of the song. Reks is in his element here as he flaunts his signature wordplay while connecting the dots between animals and mankind in myriad ways.

The track takes on another life in the video, which is an A Logos Video production. The camera mostly centers on Reks as he explores the Wynwood Miami Art District, Little Haiti and Overtown, which allows for the emcee to show off his charismatic personality. The visuals also naturally show some love to the locale itself, which is a colorful, beautiful area with some stunning street art.

“Animal Kingdom,” is taken from the Reks’ newly released LP, T.H.I.N.G.S. (The Hunger Inside Never Gets Satisfied). Get the LP here.
