“Benjamin’s Dead” sure hits the bullseye with unapologetic lyrics from Reks, Singapore Kane, and Lil Fame who all hold the fort over the dark organ-driven backdrop by D.R.U.G.S. Beats. Reks kicks it off with more than a handful of incendiary lines like “…Fuck every president and even those living, expect Obama…/Kennedy’s a memory but was alive when my mama had to sip out the colored tap, piss where the darkies at…”. His equally fired-up collaborators share their own thoughts and together they absolutely body the hard-hitting production lyrically tear down the oppressive system on which the U.S. was built (and continues to fortify).
