Rising R&B artist Stophe Malone unveils his new project Pink Fantasy First Floor, the first of a series of trilogy albums. The 10-track Body of work showcases rich melodic runs and a wide range of sounds that push the envelope of R&B music and introduce Stophe Malone’s unique style to the world at large.

 

“PF1 INTRO” sets the tone with a hyper-sultry vocal performance underpinned by ethereal and soothing soundscapes. Stophe doesn’t waste time in letting his lover know the drill and ushers them into this fantasy world where their dreams come through. He sounds commanding and calm and most importantly carries the audience along with his expressive vocal runs and alluring melodies.“BAE 2 LA” is bolstered by a punchy drum groove and woozy synth pads with a pulsating bassline and laced with Stophe’s slick vocals. he shares a tale of a baddie he met in the city of Angels and how she mesmerized his soul. Joining him on the track are rappers OCT16 and Eric Tucker who give their own 2 cents.

 

Next is the bouncy summer jam “O.M.G”, a smooth party jam that shows Stophe flexing his best life and basking in his success. This is followed by the lead single “BEEN AROUND THE WORLD (BATW)”, with its sublime pads and head-nodding groove. Here, Stophe interpolates Lisa Stansfield’s classic song and flips it into a modern banger where he pours adulations on that special someone in his life. “LUH U” is a bouncy and polished R&B love jam that sees Stophe professing his feelings for his lover while reminding her of what she means to him. Other notable joints include the slick Spanish guitar-led “ANITA”, the sensual “WHAT DO YOU LIKE?” and the Timbalan-esque bounce on “925”. The track is sublime and breaks the mould with its production, as well as Stophe’s edgy songwriting and alluring vocal runs.

 

The project closes out with the soothing vibes of “MMMM” and the confessional “PASSWORDS”. Both tracks show Stophe’s range as a songwriter who knows his audience inside out. Overall, he is not afraid to show his emotions, flaws, sexuality and of course masculinity and these are the elements that make Pink Fantasy First Floor a delight to listen to.
