It is always nice to see underground artists get recognition and exposure, and here the superdope MC and producer Oddisee, who released ‘People Hear What They See’ earlier this year, gets exposure from one of the biggest brands in the world (especially interesting considering the Homeboy Sandman article earlier). It’s kinda big news. How do you feel about this, positive in that a fairly underground artist is getting commercially recognised, or negative in that going commercial has a lot of connotations? I’m in the former camp personally – just peep the comments section where already the track is the talking point – but everyone has their own thoughts.
