Nesha Nycee, birth name Dawnesha Williams, has just a lovely gem at our doorstep. The song ‘Another Day’ is capturing the struggle one must face on a daily basis. The mindset is everything and one must stay the course if winning is the ultimate goal. The rapper who was born in Saint Louis and raised in Atlanta, started cutting her teeth in rap at 9 years old as an outlet to escape from real life struggles. According to Nesha:

“Music didn’t judge me; it allowed me to put my thoughts on paper—it was a blank canvas painted with my words.”

Those words would become lyrics and her voice would be heard around the city winning MC battles and being crowned the ‘undefeated champ’ of V103’s Rip the Mic. Her achievements led to opening performances for The Dungeon Family, Lil Kim, K. Michelle, Monica, Ciara, Kap G, Scotty ATL and Young MA, to name a few. Nesha Nycee was also featured in a screening of “Street Dreams, The Road to A3C” as the only female independent artist amongst a cast of major recording hip hop artists and in Fresh Empire’s Tobacco Free commercial alongside comedian Emmanuel Hudson. A lyrical queen and a force to be reckoned with in the female hip hop movement, Nesha’s style is refreshing, energetic, honest and inspirational. Nesha shares that:
