Brooklyn, NY-born rapper MR MEACH enters our site with his new project FULLY LOADED EP. The 7 track project sees him collaborating with producers like Swift Made That, Trillavelli and others who lace him with hard-hitting trap/drill soundscapes.
The first track “Lottery” is an aspirational tune that sees MR MEACH in his element as he details how he stays afloat in the craziness of the streets by staying true to the code. Over the bouncy drum grooves and moody textures provided by producer 6milly, the rapper delivers unfiltered bars like “100 bands yeah my palms itching, bring me a lump cause the god different/Got a couple of niggaz be on missions/Got a bitch in the back, said her bra’s missing”. He sure doesn’t miss a beat as he takes audiences deep into the mix of the action. This is followed by “Comfy”, a reflective tune that explores his love life and the feelings of having a bad chick waiting for him to get off from his daily hustle. The following track “Facetime” produced by The geenyuhs employs a familiar R&B sample and is a bouncy trap track that sees MR MEACH pouring adulations on that special someone who complements his status with good conversation and much more. All he asks for is her loyalty as he reiterates in the chorus “Baby don’t waste time, hit me on face time, let me know it’s lit”.
The EP continues with the dreamy drill track “Aaliyah” produced by rushvyas. As the title suggests, the track talks about blossoming love and trust issues in a strict sense, MR MEACH reminds her that now is the time to make things happen. “Luv Em Leave Em” flips a smooth R&B sample courtesy of Trillavelli and starts with a short vocal introduction before soaring into a punchy bass-driven drill/R&B infused beat which switches into a Jersey club drum groove at certain parts. Once again, MR MEACH shows his vulnerable side as he pours adulations on that lady who caught his eye. “Way Up” is an aspirational and go-getter anthem that sees the rapper in his element as he leads us into the mix with lines like “Remember them days on the regular, hit on my cellular if you just needed to work/But nowadays I get started I’m gong retarded, had to just put em in the dirt”. The track has a Latin guitar arrangement with thick 808-drums that sound like a scene from a classic Mariachi flick which is perfect for MR MEACH’s vivid lyricism. The final track “7Days” flips the classic Craig David song of the same name and reimagines it with a drill vibe. MR MEACH once again is on point with vivid story telling and lyrics like “Caught up a baddie, send me the addy/Send her a cabbie trying to get lit/She got a fatty, tell her get at him, it’s automatic, I’m in the gym” that fully details his escapades that takes place throughout 7 days.
Overall, FULLY LOADED EP is energetic, hard-hitting and chock full of unfiltered and unapologetic lyricism from the emerging rapper.
