Houston-born, Baytown-bred lyricist Miquo first dropped on the scene back in 2017 with a mixtape on SoundCloud, Message In A Bottle. Even though he started out by playing college football, he decided to find a change of pace and opted to get into music to find an outlet. growing up with a songwriter/poet parent also informed him as a kid and he was able to find his sound different from the gritty street glorification sound that dominated the Houston scene. His style is more grounded in vivid storytelling and thought-provoking themes that listeners can relate to.

His newest release “sun of a GUN” is a dark tale of peer pressure and the need to fit in regardless of the outcome. Over a menacing and ominous backdrop made up of moody hums, eerie textures and mellow drums, Miquo details the tale of a young man caught up in street life and the need to prove himself which leads to irreversible circumstances. The visuals are quite engaging and really depict the story to the fullest so hit the play button and watch till the end.
