Southside, VA-based rapper/poet Metri Christ is preparing to release his new EP Took Me 4 Granted but in the interim, he shares two singles “Make it Right” and “The Storm”

The first cut “Make it Right” is a reflective piece made up of sombre vocal samples and soulful textures underpinned by the rappers’ vivid storytelling. He talks about his struggles and the ups and downs of his hiatus from music and how he went through different phases before finding his true self.

The second song “The Storm” goes for an experimental and energetic vibe with groovy rhythms and punchy drums. Here, Metri Christ delivers a fiery performance ripe with bravado raps with a touch of insight as he leads us through the dark into the light.
