Mega Ran and Del The Funky Homosapien share their new collaborative track “Proto Culture 2.0” that serves as an updated version of Del’s track of the same name.

The DJ DN3 produced track, of course, sticks to the theme of the song and makes use of video-game esque vibes like the dreamy/airy textures and audio fx. This is a collaboration that is due and the result is a lyrical chain that pays homage to classic consoles, cult video games, and much more. The emcees go back and forth with the rhymes detailing their favorite games while inserting some of the things they did to get their hands on them. It also serves as a trip down memory lane to the 90s when Nintendo and Sega battled it out and arcade games were all the rage.

“Proto Culture 2.0” will appear on AGES, VOL 2, Mega Ran’s forthcoming album set to feature Wheatus, MC Lars, E-Turn, Secret Agent 23 Skiddo, and Jalopy Bungus, coming soon on Random Beats.
