I feel excitement when there is a perceived expectation, but I’m disappointed (in a good way) when my expectation isn’t what I discover.  Hope you dig what I’m trying to say? Well, nowadays one would expect a bit of sensual type rap from femcees when they get on the mic. This is not to say that all femcees are guilty of this sin but the mainstream ones have leaned heavily on that sexuality pole to climb to where they rank now. This is why some people (including myself) have a mindset before you hit the play button. But then, Mc Lyte reminds me why she is the legendary femcee that she is and Medusa makes a good introduction with this track. Hope fully, she will keep the bar raised at this level and even aim higher too.
