Rising Irish rapper Malaki continues his slew of releases with the latest being “Pasta”, a summer love ballad with jazz-soul aesthetics. The track was crafted by Malaki and producer Nick Mills and together they created a heartwarming, reflective tune comprising soulful chords and nostalgia-inducing textures that add depth to Malaki’s candid songwriting. here, the rapper/songwriter talks about the early stages of blossoming love and the many funny and quirky things we do during that period. Malaki’s approach is expressive and the use of story-driven raps and soothing melodies is a nice touch.
