Dublin-based artists, Malaki and Tolu Makay team up for a celebratory and uplifting track titled “The Light.” Conceived during the lockdown, the duo tap into their struggles and forge ahead into the light as they break free of the things holding them back. Bolstered by a smooth guitar-laden backdrop, Tolu Makay leads the charge with her sonorous melodic runs and heartfelt lyrics followed by Malaki’s introspective rap verse.

Speaking of the track, Malaki explains: “It’s hard to recognize how far you’ve come whilst achieving so much mentally and musically. This track pays homage to the struggles I endured whilst trying to get to where I am today. Thankfully I have broken from the chains and become everything I’ve always wanted to be.”
