Ka is absolutely one of the dopest, most slept on MCs breathing on the planet right now. His voice is mesmerising, his delivery captivating and the words he possesses could have a preacher saying ‘Good God’.

Which brings us to ‘Our Father’. Over a distinctly eerie loop that’s hypnotic in its repetition (which kinda drives you crazy but in a good way, frenzied), Brownsville Ka, who you might have seen more recently rocking with Roc Marciano, whispers into the mic, reinforcing the one wish he has to make. Line after line, the lyrics are so intricate, so expertly woven that you could quite happily listen to it a few times over back to back. This stripped-down Hip Hop is simplicity at its finest. The self-produced track is from Ka’s upcoming album The Night’s Gambit and accompanying the audio are noire visuals, again directed by Ka. The guy is a true artist, no doubt.
