Paying homage is never a bad thing for as long as you do the craft right. And this is what Juicille has done with this record. It is obvious to see that MC Lyte is a big influence on the rapper but Juicille has managed to throw her own personality into the mix as well. I hope she does not allow pop culture to sway her. She is nice with the rhymes and the video, which is for Me and My DJ, is tastefully done too. Let’s all keep tabs on Juicille here.
