Rising emcees Jay Holly and Primaa Bank$ team up for a brilliant collab on the new single “Stand Tall”.  They’re joined by turntable wizard DJ JS-1 and legendary producer Domingo, whose vocal sample-driven backdrop and scratches make this track even more formidable.

It’s apparent throughout the back-and-forth verses of “Stand Tall” that these two Queens natives are passionate about their craft, as they drop bars from stairwells to rooftops. Jay delivers a fiery sequence of rhymes that demonstrates not just his wordplay and insights, but also his ability to easily flip from one cadence to another. Primaa serves as a fitting counterpoint as she rides the beat with bars of streetwise braggadocio.

The raw Hip-Hop exhibition is all captured by Lordroc & Blac 1, of Skygod Studios. They embrace the grit and passion of the “Stand Tall” lyricists by following them to various locales, where we’re treated to lively performance footage and shots of the two’s creative process. This is New York rap through and through, and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

Anchoring the track itself is Domingo, the Brooklyn stalwart known for Boom bap bangers like “Stand Tall.” His layers of samples, keys, and hard-hitting drums complement Jay and Primaa’s rhymes and, of course, JS-1 makes the cipher complete with his sharp cuts.
