German producer Jakspin returns with another smooth effort titled “Sagittarius”. A summery, lush piece that blends nostalgic keys, soothing horns and xylophone synths over a head-nodding boom bap styled drum. “Sagittarius” is the single for the sophomore edition of his ZODIAX tetralogy. Jakspin plays most instruments by himself and then samples his own recordings the old fashioned way of 90s boom-bap. Combine that with today’s lofi aesthetics and you get Jakspin’s very own sound.

Welcome to part II of the ZODIAX quadrilogy. The first part dealt with the water signs and now it’s the fire signs’ turn. Jakspin retreated in his attic studio with his Fender Rhodes piano and his SP16 sampler and worked on these four tracks to create a soundtrack to the lives of fire signs. These signs are known for their openness, their optimism, their positivity and love for the fun side of life. While the water signs represented the deepness and emotionality, the fire signs represent the lust for life and positive energy.
