The last 48 hours came with the announcement of two new posthumous J Dilla releases on Pay Jay productions. Here is one of them. ‘Anthem’ features the late great James Yancey on the beat and the mic with fellow Detroit duo Frank N Dank who worked closely with him many times. A swishy guitar and elaborate drums are combined with simplicity, signature of Dilla’s duality and typically the rhymes are hard. Check out the 12″ pre-order below, with the track ‘Trucks’ on the B side. It’s worth noting that both songs were recorded in the early ’00s, and were planned for release (in fact recorded at the end of the production process) but never saw the light of day until now.

It’s also worth noting that a full posthumous LP has also been announced along with this single. Dilla goes vocal on The Diary over beats by Madlib, Karriem Riggins, Pete Rock and more notable names. Peep all the info after the jump.
