Eclectic Orange, California genre-bending duo J Cru returns with the visuals for their song “Don’t Be Sad”, a heartfelt and uplifting tune that aims to lighten the mood. Over a cinematic and epic-sounding backdrop made up of orchestral aesthetics, brass stabs, lush guitar riffs, and warm strings, the duo delivers a stunning melodic performance with layered melodic runs and evocative spirit-lifting lyrics. The track then switches up into a booming trap jam ripe with fiery rap verses that explore their journey as artists and the myriad of experiences they face while nurturing the strength to leave the past where expectations were not met.

The visual is pretty engaging and starts off with an atmospheric set piece depicting both J Geezy and J Smitty in an unknown world where their troubles are kept at bay. The visual transitions into another scene showing both artists as astronauts who crashed in yet another unknown planet.
