J Appiah has provided backing vocals for stars like Jess Glynne and Michael Kiwanuka, but the the Hackney-born singer-songwriter has a message of his own to spread with “Come Around”, an insightful and honest track which doesn’t hold back from the moment the first note hits, touching on themes of love, loss and the political landscape in the UK following the Brexit announcement.
