After an 8-year hiatus, he pairs up with producer Illgod, the boombap purist that we might as well call an old soul with an affinity for those 70s samples. According to both men, the project titled Soulsoup, offers both chemistry and perspective in a single package. With subject matter ranging from life, gospel, spirituality, self and everything that deals with the soul, the project feeds us bars in bitesizes, thoughtful production and a gritty mix to go with.
