Yesterday, Vince Staples released his first real video via KnocksteadyTV. It’s a clean start for 18 year old Vince, who’s most known for his appearance on Odd Future’s Earl album. He raps all three verses of “Queenzbridge Zoo” (prod. by Jay Curry) in front of the camera flawlessly, with no cuts or hiccups. The video is a clear portrayal of his undeniable rhyming talent and his current, seemingly troubled yet uncaring, state of mind, which he tells us is heavily influenced by his current environment and living situation. And as someone who knows this young man personally, I can assure you that every word he speaks is, indeed, real to him.
This should serve as an introduction to his music to come, including his upcoming mixtape Shyne Coldchain Vol. 1, expected to release for free online December 30th on Applebird.org. So check it out and get acquainted, and stay tuned…-VIA KNOCKSTEADY
