I’ve had this project on the backburner for a few weeks now…really dig the track above. Personally…the project overall is a bit of a hit and miss. But there’s some gems included, that make it worth the download.

Micah Smith:
Micah Smith has been producing some sort of electronica/hip hop fusion since 2002. The beats featured here are mostly from the fall of 2009. He also works as an electro DJ/Producer under the name of BEAKR and is the main producer/composer for Serf Party USA. He loves combining all kinds of musical genres to create his own style, hopefully you’ll notice that style in these songs. mirF:
mirF is a hip-hop beat maker and music fanatic living in Spokane, WA. The beats served up in this collection represent a small selection of his more recent work, hip-hop beats infused with mellow jazz, which has been heavily influenced by his vinyl collection. mirF has released two full-length beat tapes (“Herbal Remedies” and “teeF”) in the past two years and is working on a third full-length beat tape for release. mirF serves up his tasty beats as a tribute to the great hip-hop producers who came before him and inspired him to the craft and culture of hip-hop.
