As you probably all know, February is “Dilla Month”, a way to celebrate the late producer’s music and legacy, and many tributes, remixes, etc. have surfaced, as is always the case since Jay Dee’s passing six years ago. We already shared some of them with you, but I believe there’s no such thing as too much goodness and I wanted to tell you about UK producer and MC Gadget, who released his own project entitled Mr Yancey Tribute EP. Gadget recorded those lyrics and freestyles over instrumentals by Dilla and added a smooth vibe to some of the tracks, which work very well in my opinion. This EP has a very laid-back feel to it and will help you relax and enjoy your weekends or late nights.
