East-London based soul duo Equals comprised of James Lowe and Adeleye Omotayo make their way to our pages with their brand new cut titled “Red Plenty.” An uplifting piece that taps into the most joyful moments of our lives and puts it on wax for us to treasure forever. Helmed by lead vocalist Omotayo who delivers a soothing melodic performance over the groovy alluring jazz-infused backdrop. Omotayo broods on how fleeting life is and how uncertain it can also be and asks if we can just maybe slow down for a bit and reflect.

“Red Plenty” is uplifting, soulful, and definitely something we need in this lockdown period. The band recorded the track live in Baltic Studios in Hoxton, east London, with backing vocals from GRAMN’s Awkward N’Dure and horns from Ryan Jacob (Killer Horns). The track was Co-produced alongside Orlando Leopard and Equals’ own James Lowe.

“Red Plenty” is one of 2 singles coming from Equals during the worldwide COVID-19 lockdown period. The second single titled “Rubber Lion” is scheduled for a May 15th release
