Finnish production duo Cut Beetlez team up with emerging South African rapper 3ple B to help produce her debut single “Rich Cocoa.”  This is the first time we are tuning into 3ple B’s music and it’s quite refreshing. She has a very confident demeanor and her lyrics are insightful and to top it off, her smooth flow makes her stand out.  She adds via email that “Rich Cocoa” is inspired by miss universe Zozibini Tunzi.

“Rich Cocoa” sees 3ple B deliver solid performance over the guitar-led bouncy backdrop courtesy of Cut Beetlez. She takes ample time to pay homage to her melanin roots and implores her kin to always show appreciation to the cocoa skin shade and its undeniable beauty. From the jump, you can tell she is not the type to rhyme for the sake of riddling and every line and word is intentional. With authoritative lines like “…Rich cocoa, I’m a leader never follow/working hard so I don’t have to do an intro/I charge hard and shoot out just like an arrow/ I don’t need saving, don’t be trying to be a hero…”, 3ple B shows that she can hold her own.

Need we say more? “Rich Cocoa” is that song that serves as a reminder that women are queens and leaders in every sense of the word. Get it on all DSPs here.
