New York rap artist Dylan Owen teams up with hip-hop duo Kinetics & One Love for its heartfelt and somber collaborative single titled “Hurt Enough.” The record showcases Dylan and Kinetics’s insightful and well-crafted bars that explore the dynamics of a flawed relationship while One Love handles the production. Dylan opens up his verse on a personal note about a recent breakup and his struggle to find closure while Kinetics reminisces on a past love and whatever else that remains after the breakup. The result is a relatable and honest take on finding one’s center and keeping true integrity within the context of love.

The visual is directed by Patrick Lawler who goes for a warm and somewhat cinematic vibe that captures each artist in their element. He makes a solid blend of performance shots, retro-fitted visual effects, and seamless cut-scenes to drive the visual along. The single is released in partnership with Sunpop (up-and-coming label behind Sara Bareilles, Landon Cube, and Kellin Quinn) and comes nine years after Dylan and Kinetics’ first collaboration “In the Corner” off Dylan’s fan-favorite Keep Your Friends Close EP.
