Droopo is a Chennai, India born, South-East Melbourne raised emcee who is slowly rising int hr ranks with his brand of street-savvy hip-hop. He first came into the scene last year with a collaborative EP Locked In with Kae The Goat and now he is back with a brand new jam “Don Dada” alongside a video.

“Don Dada” is a solid tribute to the original Don Dada –  the late Jamaican dancehall artist Louie Rankin and it sees Droopo linking up with producer JUJO who laces this sparse but hard-hitting beat. Droopo is more than comfortable here as he delivers his lines in an unbridled manner and lets the listeners know that he is going to be here for a very long time.

The visuals are pretty solid too and make use of a black and white vintage aesthetic that fully captures Droopo’s raw, unfiltered style.

“Don Dada” is the first of many singles we should expect from Droopo in 2020
