Dutch alt-R&B-band Dragonfruit come through with a smooth brand new single “Wasted” that showcases the band’s expanding repertoire. The track brings to the forefront a vivid account of someone who is feeling betrayed by their love for someone else but eventually bounces back to bring positivity back into their world. It’s a feeling many can relate to from a firsthand account or they know someone who has been in that situation before. From the lush, soul-gripping backdrop to the commanding vocals of lead singer Danique van der Vlugt, the track is rife with a blend of the old and new and delivers in many ways than one.

“Wasted” is the follow up to their previous releases “Gears of the Giant Machine” and “Some Say” and continues the band’s knack for blending soul and hazy electronics.
