Built on the backdrop of a lo-fi-esque soundscape, this new effort by St Louis artist Chrisfrmkro entitled “lil Flip” sees him teaming up with Slikk Darko for a tag team. The title seems like a slight homage to Cloverland, Houston, Texas veteran Lil Flip but looking deeper it just displays the somewhat eclectic mood personified by Chrisfrmkro’s eccentric style. The bouncy trap groove layered with the hypnotizing synth works pretty well as the 2 emcees deliver something worth listening to.

” Lil Flip ” is off Chrisfrmkro’s latest mixtape  “HIGH IDEA VOL. 1”  Slikk Darko and Chrisfrmkro are linking up again to release a project later this month. Catch them performing in St. Louis at Blank Space on the 25th.
