Lewisham’s Benjamin A.D returns to the forefront as he shares the visuals for his song “Backseat Driving,” a laid back track that captures the solemnity of nightlife transit. The title alludes to him taking a breather in between functions as a young artist grinding his way up. Starting his journey from legendary chicken spot Morley’s, B.A.D takes viewers on an early hours ride through South London in the Ray Fiasco-directed video, which boasts cameos from Yung Filly and D-Block Europe’s Young Adz.

The track is produced by regular collaborator Wavsdntdie, who laces B.A.D with a reflective and head nodding backdrop to remind us to savor the moment in the journey rather than wasting time by waiting around fixated on our destinations.

The track is B.A.D’s third release of the year – following “When It Don’t Make Sense” and “Check-In” – and further establishes his unique blend of sung and rapped vocals fused with meditative lyricism.
