Long Island, NY emcee AWOL Da Mindwriter shoots his way through the industry with the proverbial “Golden Gun” whose title is a homage to Sega’s Golden Gun (aka China’s House Of The Dead). The track sees him teaming up with producer August Fanon who laces him with a haunting organ riff and crunchy drum break to feast on. AWOL proceeds to wreak havoc with his expressive cadence and vivid lyricism using references to the video game with eye-popping rhyme schemes.

“Golden Gun” is the debut single from AWOL Da Mindwriter and August Fanon’s forthcoming collaborative project.

“Golden Gun” is the first new music from AWOL since last year’s SEGA-AM2 (Part II) LP (which was fully produced by JHershey). Since emerging as a solo artist in recent years, AWOL Da Mindwriter has collaborated with such notables as Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, A-F-R-O, Charles Hamilton, The Doppelgangaz among others. Follow the more info links below for news on the forthcoming album.
