One of the early contenders for best hip-hop album of 2012, Opio’s “Vultures Wisdom Vol. 2” was released Feburary 28th on Hieroglyphics Imperium. This is pretty much what Blu wanted to sound like on UCLA but failed. The production on this is awesome, all mixed and mastered the way an album should be. Opio brings a stream of consciousness vibe, with tracks about some well known subects (weed, girls, money) given a fresh feel. His strength is in his flow which is consistent on every track, showing he is a master of delivery. Don’t sleep on this, it outshines plenty high profile releases with it’s incredible beats.
