Emerging Columbus, Ohio raised rapper/songwriter Akbar shares his newest single “YRBG ( Young Righteous Black Girl)” that caught our ears for its insightful lyrics and soul-stirring production.
Akbar comes through with thoughtful and adulation filled verses that aim to showcase the true beauty and strength of black women and self-love. He delivers an unapologetic message of having pride in our blackness even with all of our trials and tribulations from slavery to Jim Crow to modern-day systemic racism.
