Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.

Vic Da Baron – “Gotham City”.
Vic Da Baron‘s latest release “Gotham City” is a hard-hitting conceptual piece that compares his stomping grounds in Bay Area to the fictional Gotham city. The action-packed track is ripe with vivid lyricism that details the energy of his city and the many colorful characters that help bring it to life.
SiahRa The Alchemist – “Blessed” (feat. Elijah Irabor)
Kingston, Jamaica-born rapper/songwriter SiahRa The Alchemist and Elijah Irabor team up for this aspiration track “Blessed.” The Dancehall/rap/pop infused track talks about being grateful and appreciative for every single thing one has. The track also focuses on the never ending struggles we all face and serves as a reminder to never give up. The visuals are quite engaging and uses an excellent storyboarding style to deliver the eternal message.
Beyondsonny – “BREAD” (Feat. AKAI SOLO)
“BREAD” is a colaborative track between Brooklyn emcees Beyondsonny and AKAI SOLO who deliver refletcive and insightful bars over a lofi jazz backdrop produced by Ghowste. The visual is shot in blck and white and uses smooth transitions that ties the duo’s performance shots together with clips that takes voewers through their city.
Deca OTA x Hunnid2Hebron – “Hallelujah”
UK artists Deca OTA and Hunnid2Hebron connect with “Hallelujah,” a modern banger with a Gospel/inspirational theme about their Christian faith and how they try to emulate the teachings of Christ in this modern world filled with iniquities. The production is punchy and cinematic while the duo deliver their bars in a fast paced manner while maintianing concious, religious-tone in their lyrics. The visual is mainly performance shots that captures both young men in their element.
ODEAL – “Addicted”
Afro fusion artist ODEAL returns with “Addicted,” a modern R&B infused track that bridges the classic R&B style with a modern Afrobeat aesthetic. The track is a love-tinged piece that details a man who is neck deep in love with that special someone who makes his life complete. The visual style blends different clips of ODEAL in a rolodex type visual style.
Brassroots District – “Aim High”
This week’s visual playlist comes to a close with the aid of Brassroots District who raise the ante with “Aim High.” The retro-fitted funk/soul track is a raw, soul-stirring ode to the past with a modern touch. The LA group bring their A-game and deliver a groovy track ripe with rich and layered instrumentation and captivating melodic vocals that strike the ears with a distinct vibe. The visual also tap into the group’s retro energy and shows all members in the studio and on stage doing their thing.
