Toronto-raised emcee Fortunato teams up with producer Sean One for the new single “Breathe” taken from their forthcoming collaboration album Blue Collar 2, which is an ode to hip-hop and the artist’s musical journey while touching on and challenging various hip-hop cliches along the way. The record produced by Sean One has a sombre and somewhat melancholic vibe with its warm and moody textures layered over a classic drum break. The backdrop is perfect for Fortunato’s introspective and positive lyrics that implore us that we all can be free from being caught in the modern-day entrapments by just taking time out to breathe and look at things from a nuanced perspective.

Fortunato recently collaborated with DJ IV on the album 2 Bad Dudes, which was nominated for best Hip Hop/Rap recording at the 2018 ECMA’s and also reached the #3 spot on Earshot’s National Hip Hop Charts. He won best International Hip Hop video at the Golden Sneakers Film Festival in Hamburg, Germany for his song “Dead in The Streets” from his upcoming album MDCXVII.
