Washington D.C.-based music producer XIXI shares two singles “222” featuring Elyscia and “8409 Emerson St.” featuring DJ Alizay.
We start with “222” which is the 2nd song off XIXI’s EP and features the soothing vocals of Baltimore-based singer Elyscia. Over the somber and alluring backdrop, she delivers an angelic melodic performance
“8409 Emerson St.” is a laidback but punchy boombap beat ripe with lush and dusty textures and features excellent vocal scratching by DJ Alizay who makes use of vocal snippets from NWA and KRS One and more.
Both tracks are taken from Boog which is the first solo release from music producer XIXI (pronounced ‘eleven-eleven’).
