Straight out of the Shaw neighborhood in Washington, DC comes the XIIDC crew and on their latest release “3 Ninjas” they team up with rappers Typhanie & Co., Spell The Three, and Artshow. The result is an engaging piece that blends insightful, bravado, and hard-hitting rhymes over an exotic upbeat backdrop made up of Japanese flutes and pulsating basslines. The track opens up with a tandem rap combo from Spell The Three, and Artshow who seamlessly weave into each other’s rhyme schemes, this is followed by the commanding presence of Typhanie & Co who helps wrap up the record elegantly.

The visual by Alexander Milan is pretty engaging, cinematic and pays homage to a handful of Martial-Arts films like The Matrix and Kill Bill to name a few. The blend of action sequences and performance shots is excellent plus the costumes and set pieces are well crafted. The clip is edited by DPofTheYear of Setlife.

XIIDC is an eclectic crew made up of producers, rappers, and instrumentalists who have been shaking up the Capital City with electrifying hip-hop songs.
