This is a long overdue Word is Bond versus featuring The Enginear an 18 year old producer from Trinidad & Tobago that we found last year around this time with SO MUCH talent. I heard this Flurry beat back then and went bananas over it. The diversity throughout the track is insane and I knew that would prove a great challenge for a good MC.
Enter Savant; an Arizona-based MC and a multi-talented brother with lyrics and flows galore, often featured here on WIB. I somehow had a feeling that Savant would be the perfect person to address this monster beat with his ever adapting flow. Still I thought this would be a bit of a curve ball, but never that… he killed it. As he puts it “the only rapper outside of Hammer you can’t touch” too good!
The result is self explanatory. In my humble opinion… one of the best bouts we’ve ever had in this “Versus” series.
