I had the opportunity to DJ at Hoop Fest last month in Victoria Park. It was a lot of fun to be providing music while the 3×3 basketball tournament was in session. Once the games were done, we kept the party rocking with a freestyle session and some live performances. It was a lot of fun.

I wanted to air the live performances as well, but the audio quality of the recording wasn’t up to snuff. I wasn’t manning the soundboard and thought my digital recorder was catching everything. Unfortunately, it didn’t. But this open-format mixset was tons of fun and I hope you enjoy it. It goes back to what the foundation of Hip Hop actually is – DJs spinning tunes from different genres and eras. It might not be your usual Word is Bond fare, but it’s still fire!
