We celebrated International Women’s Day with 7 hours of radio programming dedicated to the Women in Hip-Hop.

If you missed the show, or simply want to relive it again, we will be sharing all of the segments here over the next two weeks.

For our 6th Annual Women in Hip-Hop Spectacular, we assembled a panel of talented women to talk about some of the issues surrounding being a woman in a male-dominated industry, how women are portrayed in popular music, and some of the obstacles we still need to overcome.

This year the panel features . . .

Jae the Lyoness – an emcee residing in Baltimore Maryland, originally from Washington, D.C. Her latest project, Murder Was the Case, is available now.

Chris Jay – an emcee from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her single, High, is available now.

DJ T-jr – a scratch deejay from Toronto. She was on the 1s and 2s throwing down a great mixset of female hip-hop that we will post very soon. Stay tuned!
