Sometimes you come across gems and jewels that just lift you up to the next level. weirddough is one of those dudes. I actually only came across his beats around a couple of months ago, and while I was on a little sabbatical I was sleeping on this EP, but now I’m back it’s one of the things I wanted to post real bad. Ascension is only six tracks deep, but weirddough’s beats, crafted in the oven of groove and glazed with samples, are full and varied enough to make you vibe. Besides, anyone who jams with Silvetto and filters like weirddough does will always get a thumbs-up from me.
