Brother of one of the all time greats (J Dilla). John Regal aka Illa J is carrying on that legacy with Slum Village and as a solo artist in his own rite. He can sing, produce and rap all at the same time, a quick listen to his debut album “Yancey Boys” tells you all you need to know about how talented he is. In this interview we try and get him to tell us about the future for Illa J whilst relaying some old stories about his brother. For the budding artists out there he even gives advice on breaking into the industry. As he is one of my favourite artists period, it was an honour to have him on board for Word Is Bond, all for the love of his fans!
