Lagos, Nigeria rapper Vector is representing his African roots to the fullest with his latest endeavor titled Cross Roads EP. The EP is a 5 track collaboration with Mastaa and sees the battle-ready emcee fusing Afropop and rap in a unique fashion.
“No Worries” is a track taken off the EP and the duo come through with a solid visual representation for the track. The song is quite catchy with its infectious flute-like synths, horns, and smooth slow bounce that Vector uses to the fullest. The rapper goes for a laidback approach ripe with a lot of bravado and a bland of English, Pidgin English, and Yoruba to give it that multi-cultural feel.
For the visuals, Vector and Mastaa team up with director Tokyo James who pulls out the big guns to make this. The colors are super vibrant and the aesthetics are quite engaging and eye-popping. You just have to love the costumes and the mix of Afrocentricity across the board.
