Multi-talented UK singer/songwriter VC Pines continues his streak of releases with the latest being “Made 2 Luv,” which serves as a prelude to his EP Viole(n)t Colour. The future-soul/experimental pop track sees the singer collaborating with fellow singer Josie Man, and together they dive into the smokescreen and dreams sold to rising artists in the music industry. Over a smoky and atmospheric soundscape, the duo share their frustrations and experiences dealing with the craziness of the industry. Armed with his off-beat and lilting vocal runs, VC Pines takes the lead, followed by Josie Man’s airy vocal runs, culminating in a soul-stirring hook that seals the deal.
“Made 2 Luv” is taken from The ‘Viole(n)t Colour’ EP, which is a raw, deeply personal collection born from the aftermath of emotional and creative burnout. Emerging from a period of intense isolation and exhaustion—after releasing the ‘MRI’ album independently, navigating two self-managed tours, and watching personal relationships unravel—the EP captures both the fragility and resilience of rebuilding from nothing.
