Critically acclaimed emcee and Swollen members member (see what I did there? huh) Moka Only follows up his 2016 “12 albums for 2016” feat by putting out a full 20 track body of work he calls “Concert for one”. The album is packed to the brim with 20 dusty, raw, and jazzy tracks from the Vancouver rapper-producer, in addition to a slick guest verse from Detroit’s own Dank (of Frank n Dank)

It’s quite daunting to put out such amount of high quality projects without going cold and Moka Only is pretty much just in the zone with this new release. So many gems on this project form the nostalgia inducing “Hi”, the reflective “Feature with Drake”, the groovy Dank assisted “Just Some Vibes” and I need not say more as you just have to play this to really get the feel.

Moka may flaunt the traits of a musical superhero through his years of accomplishments, but he has never been one to disappear into the night. He embodies what today’s artists strive to attain. That is to say, the experience, the wins, the brain power, and the unbelievable creative will that fuels him. This hero is nowhere near done, and that’s apparent on the stellar Concert for One, which is bursting with melodic, soulful boom-bap.

Concert for One is now available for both stream and download through the digital retailer of your choice, and is also available on CD, vinyl and cassette
