Trust Tate returns to our site with three solid cuts that show different sides to his artistry and then some.

“Martyr” is the first cut we are looking at and it’s built on a somber and somewhat off-kilter backdrop. Tate makes use of a weird vocal effect that makes him sound alien. He employs a melodic style as well and takes it to a whole new different vibe with this somewhat experimental track.

“Focused” has a moody and punchy production and sees the rapper reflecting on his journey thus far. From the hardship, he faced growing up and hurdles he had to jump through as a young man, Trust Tate reminds us that he is not going to mess it up and he is staying focused all the way.

“Chill Pill” is the third song on the list and it’s vastly different from the other two releases. He teams up with producer Zane98 who crafts a sublime, dancehall-infused backdrop for the rapper who again switches into a melodic style that is quite catchy and somewhat sultry. It’s a mellow and feel-good track that is perfect for any evening car ride.

All the tracks are off Trust Tate’s AKATA LP.
