Rising Buffalo emcee Y.N.X.716 drops visuals for “History / Solid Gold Soul,” a 2 in one track that showcases different sides to the rapper. On “History” he makes use of a moody gritty boom-bap backdrop to share his thoughts of the street life and his comeuppance as a man looking towards the future. The track flips into the soulful “Solid Gold Soul” and YNX7.1.6. goes into a more exquisite territory with his vivid opulent inspired lyrics bolstered by his confident flows.

The visual is solid too and taps into the energy of both songs with its stylish aesthetics. The first part is shot in black and white exuding a more nostalgic aura and switches into cinematic colors on the second half of the song showcasing the rapper’s grand entrance into a whole new space in life.

Speaking on the drop Y.N.X.716 said “I’m working on a double album. The first part is called Oldies (which “Solid Gold Soul” is taken from) and is sampled from classic soul tracks. The second part (which “History” will appear on) is Live from the 90’s and the project as a whole represents the evolution of hip-hop.
