Montreal-based rapper Naya Ali is not horsing around as she drops a new single “Stop Playin” which hits hard from the moment you hit the play button. The anthemic track is a tribute to her work ethic and resilience as an artist and also a warning to people to not take her for a joke. The track is produced by Adrian X.
J.R. The Truth – “Brave Heart”
J.R. The Truth pours his heart out on his new single “Brave Heart.” The track is a laidback reflective piece that displays the rapper’s life from the start and all the hurdles he had to face to get to where he is now.
A.C. XZA – “ThundA”
Emerging artist A.C. XZA comes through with “ThundA,” an experimental medley that explores love, life, and much more. He makes use of a somber jazz piano-laden beat to share his thoughts.
Adolphus – “Backs against the wall”
Adolphus dives into the hard times on the insightful record titled “Backs against the wall.” Over a somber and dark backdrop, he shows his inner determination and resilience as he faces the odds.
Carla Kerridge – “Not The One” (feat. Lobo)
Emerging vocalist Carla Kerridge teams up with Lobo for her official debut titled “Not The One.” The R&B fusion track showcases her fiery melodic runs and vivid lyrics over a guitar-laden soundscape. She exudes extraordinary confidence as she seamlessly cascades the somber backdrop with a no holds bar attitude. Lobo also comes through with his own thoughts and complements Kerridge’s sublime vocals.
Black Prez – “Riding The Wave”
LA / Berlin-based rapper Black Prez makes his entry with his single “Riding The Wave” which sees him in a retrospective mood. He makes use of a moody backdrop to share his journey through this thing called life. From having to pay to perform at events, to sleeping on his friend’s couch to eventually finding his path and never looking back.
Zachary Schams – “Next Destination:The Moon”
Zachary Schams flips the script on his new record titled “Next Destination: The Moon.” The record is a genre-bending track that takes elements from Neo-soul, hip-hop with jazz aesthetics. The production is groovy and smooth while Schams’ unique melodic runs seamlessly grab the listeners. As the title suggests, he is all about taking time to relax from the madness with that good old herb to fly high into space.
Neon BLK – “BEWILDERED”
Neon BLK shares “BEWILDERED” as his new single. The off-kilter track is bolstered by moody and lush backdrops and of course Neon BLK’s expressive and off-the-cuff melodic style.

Emerging rapper Corta shares his new single “Thank You” which serves as an open letter and tribute to all the people who helped him along the way. Over a somber, moody backdrop, he shows appreciation to the fans and friends who helped his dreams become reality.
Xavior Black – “The Coolest MC”
Xavior Black shows us why he is the “The Coolest MC” on his new self-produced song. Over a bouncy jazz-infused track, he delivers a smooth performance ripe with vivid lyrics with a retro vibe that everyone can rock with.
This is the first single from Xavior Black’s debut album, Walker Of The Moons (released 09/09/21).
Stoney Hoop – “Boss Up”
Stoney Hoop shares a new single “Boss Up” which was inspired by his environment. He makes good use of the laidback chilled soulful track produced by Skully Cipriani to deliver his thoughts seamlessly.
Rahseed Defoe x Math-Mic x Just x Theo Lewis x Milian Decks x Shake Dodson – “Control003”
“Control003” is a synth-driven track that sees Rahseed Defoe teaming up with Math-Mic, Just, Theo Lewis, Milian Decks, and Shake Dodson. The track is somewhat experimental and brings quite a number of different styles to the forefront with it’s an envelope-pushing element.
Speak the Rebel – “Selah” (Prod.By Promotheus)
Speak the Rebel displays pure unadulterated lyricism on his new release “Selah” which sees him teaming up with producer Promotheus. Over a cinematic backdrop provided by the producer, Speak The rebel holds nothing back with his dynamic flow and vivid lyricism riddled with wit, punchlines, and off-kilter elements.
Trust Tate – “Keep A Secret”
Trust Tate teams up with Canadian producer DJ Lethaphace for this haunting track titled “Keep A Secret.” Over a dark and ominous backdrop, Trust Tate reflects on a myriad of things that swirl through our mids but might be afraid to dive into.
Jay Rawlings – “Angels & Demons”
Atlanta-based rapper Jay Rawlings shares his 3rd single “Angels & Demons” this week and it caught our ears. The guitar-laden soulful cut sees the young rapper reflecting on his personal struggles and demons but he also shows a glimmer of hope at the end of it all.
Abyss x Big Dese – “Pest Control”
Massachusetts veteran rappers Abyss & Big Dese (The Dunnas) join forces to ‘exterminate’ the competition on their hard-hitting new track “Pest Control.” The track is bolstered by ObieDaz‘s orchestral stabs, crunchy drums, and ominous textures peppered by solid vocal scratches by Improv The SuperVillain. Abyss, known for his syllabic dark flow, and Big Dese, for his neck-breaking battle bars, combine for a gem that will surely please lovers of raw unfiltered lyricism.
Oxymoron – “Bad Batch”
Oxymoron‘s newest release “Bad Batch” is a 10-minute long medley visual that blends hard-hitting and cinematic backdrops laced with insightful and somewhat off-kilter verses. The tracks blend into each other by way of vocal snippets.
Killertunes x Lyta x PsychoYP – “Diamonds”
Nigerian producer Killertunes teams up with singer Lyta and rapper PsychoYP for “Diamonds” an upbeat jam that showcases a fusion of Afropop and trap in a seamless manner.
ZAAY – “Manifest”
emerging rapper ZAAY pours his heart on wax on his new single “Manifest.” The somber track has a reflective vibe and sees the emcee detailing his personal struggles and implores listeners to grab hold of their dreams and chase it down.
Rag’n’Bone Man – “Alone” (feat. Reuben Vincent) – 9th Wonder Remix
Rag’n’Bone Man‘s “Alone” gets a soulful remix by the legendary 9th Wonder. The heartfelt track that deals with societal pressures and judgment. The track is bolstered by 9th Wonder’s smooth and reflective soundscape which blends seamlessly with Rag’n’Bone Man’s original hook. The original version is taken from Rag’n’Bone Man’s Number 1 selling album

TBando – “Insomnia”
North London, UK rap act TBando closes out the playlist with his debut single “Insomnia” which sees him working with rising Canadian producer Tom French who crafts a lush sublime backdrop showcasing his melodic rap on full display.
The song comes with a glorious new video directed by Kxvin Media (Stormzy, AJ Tracey, Headie One) as well.
