Sacramento, California-based, London-born hip hop artist Charm The Riot steps out with “500 (Dark Soul Version)”, a hard-hitting verbal-dense track that showcases his lyrical prowess over a bouncy funky beat.

 

 

Jeristotle – “Good Mood”

VA-based rapper Jeristotle is in a “Good Mood” in his latest release. Backed by an anthemic soundscape comprising horns and thumping bass-driven drums, the emcee flexes his verbal muscles while having. a good time at it.

 

 

VvG – “Tho$e Ain’t Rolex Diamond$”

East Charlotte, NC-based upcoming rapper VvG deliver his new release “Tho$e Ain’t Rolex Diamond$”, a heartfelt lyrical display that pairs bravado and insightful bars over a soulful soundscape.

 

 

Phat Panda x SYNDRM x Quick.cp – “Fast City”

“Fast City” is a reflective piece from Phat Panda, Detroit-based multi-instrumentalist and producer SYNDRM and Quick.cp who help bring audiences closer to their experiences in Metro Detroit. Over a soulful and warm backdrop, the trio bring things into perspective with vivid and engaging lyrics that dwell on the past, nostalgic memories and how they connect to the present.

 

Uncle TreY – “Serotonin”.

Uncle TreY distributes a huge dose of “Serotonin” in his new single. The Remdolla-produced has an uplifting cinematic synth, a prevalent bass-driven groove and of course, Uncle Trey’s smooth flow and overwhelming feel-good vibe that we need.

 

Hemlock Ernst – “Remains” (feat. Elucid of Armand Hammer)

“Remains” is the second single from Hemlock Ernst which sees him teaming up with Elucid of Armand Hammer. The experimental track comprises off-beat soundscapes that are dynamic and non-conforming and underpinned by engaging and thought-provoking lyrics that paint the workings of a dystopian future. “Remains” is taken from the upcoming Studying Absence LP with producer Icky Reels out 10/16 via Tygr Rawwk.

 

 

deliBass x Jonny Tobin x Preben Raunsbjerg x Little Sherwell – “Forbidden Love” (ft Little Sherwell)

“Forbidden Love” is a soulful piece coming from deliBass, Jonny Tobin, Preben Raunsbjerg and Little Sherwell who all bring their talents to the forefront. From the rich chords, sublime Rhodes, lush guitar licks, prevalent soul-stirring bassline and heartwarming vocal runs, audiences will be drawn in at the end of it all. The lyrics dwell on the concept of forbidden love and the excitement that builds up when one is caught up in it,

 

Leeron – “Keeping me up”

Stockholm-based Leeron shared their new single “Keeping me up” and it immediately caught our attention. The track is a smooth blend of R&B with a pop aesthetic and comprises sublime textures, soaring guitar plucks, expressive melodic runs and heartfelt lyrics that explore how love for someone can be consuming. As the chorus says, it paints a picture of a man who can’t sleep as he watches his girl doze off and is enthralled by her beauty and persona.

 

 

Late Bloomers & Omega Nova – “Losing My Soul” (ft. Inzom)

Late Bloomers and Omega Nova recruit Inzom for “Losing My Soul”, a smooth R&B-infused hip-hop track that focuses on being positive and finding one’s inner strength to push through the fog.

 

Quantacious – “WU-SAH”.

Emerging rapper Quantacious gets into his element with “WU-SAH”. The track is a lyric-dense no-holds barred display of lyricism from the Canadian rapper.

 

KOTH – “Watching” (feat. Jester)

 

KOTH and Jester join forces on this mid-tempo jam titled “Watching”. The track employs a classic drum break with an ethereal texture and pad that is underpinned by engaging lyricism from the duo.

 

 

Claire Brooks – “GO(RILLA)”

Claire Brooks is in her element as she effortlessly shows us how she gets by in her new single “GO(RILLA)”. The track has a lofi-soul and summery vibe and sees Claire detailing how she weaves through the white noise to find her true North.

 

Prominence – “It’s Over”.

Lawrenceville, GA-based artist Prominence caught our ears with his new release “It’s Over”. A soulful piece comprising cinematic guitar licks and punchy drums, the rapper gives audiences a vivid glimpse into his journey as a young man cutting off the dead weight to fulfil his true potential.

 

 

Vazy x D.FRENCH – “Kill Us All”.

Vermont-based producer Vazy and D.FRENCH team up for “Kill Us All”, a sombre piano-driven track that talks about self-reliance and finding one’s comfort zone. The song is the twelfth entry in the duo’s weekly music release.

 

 

Young T & Bugsey x JAE5 – “Fake Can’t Stay” (feat. JAE5)

 

Young T & Bugsey and JAE5 help close our week’s playlist with “Fake Can’t Stay”, a playful genre-bending tune that continues the duo’s slew of releases. The track is rich in textures that take elements from Afrofusion, pop and modern UK swing. The track is taken from their 11-track mixtape, Beyond Rea5onable Doubt.
