Prolific producer Phat Panda and rapper Quick.cp return with their new single “EgoVerseID.” The track is a conceptual piece that puts listeners right between the battle between a rapper’s Ego and ID. Over the choppy piano riffs and moody textures, the battle rages on with expressive flows, bravado, wit and razor-sharp word play flying back and forth. The rapper plays the dual role of the Ego and ID, where the former exudes dominance while the latter counters the attack with truth and vulnerability. Ultimately, it’s not about a victor or vanquished but rather the fusion of both parts that make up who the rapper is.
